Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and Rutgers Institute for Professional Education proudly present this symposium, which will explore the rapidly evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and the law. Through panels addressing intellectual property ownership, regulation, algorithmic bias and fairness, the transformation of legal practice, and emerging litigation risks, the symposium will examine how AI is reshaping the legal landscape from creation to accountability.
Lawyers, academics, and policymakers need to understand the legal, ethical, and societal challenges posed by generative technologies, from authorship disputes and bias in automated systems to the use of AI in law firms and the courtroom, while also appreciating AI’s benefits and productivity advantages. By convening experts across disciplines, the symposium seeks to foster dialogue on how the legal profession can adapt and lead responsibly in an AI-driven future.
