Housing Justice Summit 2025
Friday, October 24, 2025 | 9:30 AM EST - 4:15 PM EST
This is a summit on housing advocacy fifty years after the Supreme Court of New Jersey decision on Southern Burlington County NAACP v. Township of Mount Laurel. That ruling and the resulting Mount Laurel Doctrine established that developing municipalities have a constitutional duty to provide a “fair share” or affordable housing for low- and middle-income families. Much has changed since that landmark decision, but the need for housing advocacy and justice continues.
See page 2 for the agenda.
The Housing Justice Project is an initiative established in 2021 with funding from the State of New Jersey that seeks to provide representation and support to tenants in landlord-tenant disputes and with other housing needs. The Project is a collaboration between Seton Hall Law School’s Center for Social Justice (CSJ) and Rutgers Law School.
